About roses that I have grown in Georgia, Oregon, and Missouri. Also about those that I have seen in public gardens, cemeteries, botanical gardens. The blog also contains videos, and links to posts on facebook, and a link to the merchandise store. An Old Garden Rose from circa 1837. I call the color a dark purple, however it can open fairly lighter and could lead to confusion on its identity. A great rose to use if you want a large area covered, otherwise it is better off grafted. You can see a short video of Tuscany Superb here: https://youtube.com/shorts/mRLR7HpOCbI

A nice pink rose. Until I saw a photo of Abraham Darby and Moonlight in Paris side by side, I never put how similar they can be together. Moonlight in Paris seems to have few petals and has more of an inner glow to its pink petals. You can see a short video of Moonlight in Paris here: https://youtube.com/shorts/Jh6Kx88iams

A Gallica rose bred by Paul Barden. Once blooming. Unique leaves, which is the way that I distinguish the suckers from Tuscany Superb when the plants aren't in flower. You can see a short video of Ellen Tofflemire here: https://youtube.com/shorts/dh3mfVt6BEs

This is my first summer with this rose. This spring it has been a consistent bloomer though. The plant is mediumish sized, but puts out big blooms. You can see a short video of Bliss Parfuma here:

A yellow David Austin rose. I have it next to Duchesse de Brabant and another next to Tuscany Superb and the color combinations work well. You can see more about this rose here:
